Swimming with Turtles

Think of Hawaii and you think of the ocean!  Wailea is famous for it's beautiful and easily accessible beaches, you never know what you'll find just offshore!

Most people who say ‘Turtle Town’ are specifically referring to Maluaka Beach but the entire Southwest shore of Maui is an active Sea Turtle habitat.   Maluaka Beach is just south of Wailea at the end of Makena Road.  The entrance is off of the main street so most visitors drive past without even knowing it’s there.  Come on… tell the truth… it’s kinda fun to know a secret huh?  Ok, well it’s not topsecret, but it’s definitely one of Maui’s lesser known beaches.

Closer to the Ekolu properties and offering a much easier sandy beach access is Ulua beach.  Ample parking and easy beach access is less than a quarter mile from the condo.  Popular for shore dives and family outings, Ulua offers clean public restrooms and freshwater showers.
